I am a fan of solar power because in general it makes me more aware of my energy consumption, and how to reduce it. So now I am careful to use less electricity ( in fact I export it to the Grid), and less gas, and less petrol, because I want to reduce my impact on the environment.

Now here are the rock hard facts about my system:
I will save about £200 a year off my electricity bill;
I will get paid about £1,400 a year in government incentives;
And my annual carbon footprint is reduced by about 1.6 tonnes.

The supplier was Prescient Power Ltd of Ashby de la Zouch, who took just over a day to install the Solar pv system on my South facing roof. I am pleased with the neat fit on the roof, and all the circuits and meters are operating well. It's a Yingli 16 module 3.76kW system. The panel dimensions are about 1m x 1.5m.

I am recommending solar power to my family, my friends, and those I meet. Anyone is welcome to come and see how my system works.
